Cristiano Ronaldo and the Habit of Saying Assalamualaikum

Since joining the Saudi Arabian club, Al Nassr, it seems like Cristiano Ronaldo has a new ‘habit’. CR7 often says ‘assalamualaikum’ when he comes to training sessions.

Cristiano Ronaldo is in his second season with Al Nassr, following his move from Manchester United. Ronaldo has proven that he is still skilled even though he is 38 years old.

Last season, Cristiano Ronaldo led Al Nassr to win the Arab Champions League. This season, Al Nassr is at the top of the Saudi Arabian League with 34 points from 14 matches, minus four points from Al Hilal at the top. Ronaldo this season has not slacked off. He has scored 15 goals in 13 matches, surpassing his goal tally last season (14 goals).

In detikSport’s notes, it is believed that there is a special clause in Ronaldo’s salary. One of them is about being a ‘brand ambassador’.

Ronaldo once took part in Saudi Arabia’s Founding Day ceremony wearing a robe. Ronaldo also celebrated by doing the Ardah dance, a traditional Arabic dance.

These words are a greeting in Arabic which means ‘may peace be upon you’. This greeting has also become a habit among Muslims with the more complete words ‘Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh’ meaning ‘may Allah bestow salvation, mercy and blessings on you’.

“Of course Khabib will win, God willing hehehe. Siuu,” he said.
